Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964)

At about 30 minutes in, not only is the up-to-that-point-confusing-plot completely laid out, but the U.S. President calls a very drunk Russian President which leads to this amazing exchange.

That's when I realized this whole movie was going to be a treat. The entire film was absurdly hilarious. I mean the antagonist was conspiracy theorist who thought communists wanted to "sap and impurify all our precious bodily fluids."

And even with its comedic elements, the cinematography was fantastic. I mean it's Stanley Kubrik so of course it was. He did a great job at playing with stark lighting.

I also want to shout out the array of expressions coming from George C. Scott, who played the Texan war general. Complete delight to watch this guy.
