The Sound of Music (1965)

There's just one thing I want to discuss about The Sound of Music: the nuns. They're bitches. Specifically to Maria.

In one of the opening numbers, "How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?", the nuns sing about how Maria is a goddamn mess. One of the nuns, WHILE SINGING IN THE ABBEY, complains that Maria is always singing in the abbey.

Also, can we talk about how misleading this song is. How do you solve a problem like Maria? Growing up I thought the nuns were worried about Maria leaving the Abbey, because no one could solve problems as well as she. Only in the last few years did I realize MARIA IS THE PROBLEM. These bitches.

To the nuns' credit, they do save Maria and the Von Trapps from the Nazis at the end. So you know, God bless them.
